This 2-day class is for advanced beginners or intermediate lamp workers. It’s all about using vitreous enamels and blending those juicy rainbow colors Bea is known for.
The first day Bea will explain how to create focal beads including her unique multi-layered “reverse glass painting” technique. You will be incorporating detailed stringer work, goldstone or dichroic glass, twisties and wigwags into pressed or free-formed beads.
She will also show how to make interchangeable toppers in this technique. They will be made without a disc base which leaves you the freedom to make any shape you like.
You will be learning:
Preparing and applying stringers, twisties and wigwags for this special technique
Color blending “Bea style”
How to build up beads in a press
Free formed beads
On the second day Bea will incorporate a combination of enamels and lampworking techniques to a copper base. All the prep work (stringers, twisties, wigwags, etc) from day one can be integrated to copper enameling as well.
You will be using pre-cut and self-cut copper blanks. You’re imagination is the limit!
