Mark Making with Linocut
Helen Murgatroyd is a Printmaker based in Bude, North Cornwall. She studied Graphic Design in Manchester before specialising in Printmaking at The Royal College of Art. She works mainly in linocut, making print editions centred round themes of food, still life imagery and the domestic everyday.
A one day basic introduction to the process of carving and printing linocut, with a focus on mark-making and creating tone with this graphic medium.
Students will need to bring with them ideas to turn into their final print i.e sketchbooks, photographs and magazines.
Materials and equipment you will need to bring
You will need a pencil and an apron.
£5 payable to Helen on the day.
